Job Description

Position Overview 

The Finance Officer will be responsible to assist the Finance Manager with the overall functioning of the finance department. 

Key Roles 

1.Financial Management 

  • Lead and guide the Finance & Accounting Unit on their day-to-day functioning. 
  • Support Finance Manager to prepare reports, financial proposals, and documents for banking requirements. 
  • Support Finance Manager to prepare financial reports to meet ad-hoc demands from different departments. 
  • Support Finance Manager to prepare, analyze, review and revise the annual budget. 

2.Accounting Management 

  • Generate Invoices to clients and follow-up clients for payment. 
  • Day-to-day financial information updates to sales and development team. 
  • Review and finalize salary sheet in compliance with policy and contract paper, and transfer salary. 
  • Record day-to-day entry of accounting data in the Accounting software, ensure data quality, and maintain the security of the data. 

3.Risk Management 

  • Ensure compliance with the legal and statutory financial requirements. 
  • Work closely with internal and external Auditors to conduct quarterly/annual audits. 
  • Policy Compliance 
  • Prepare necessary documentation and ensure timely submission of TDS and CIT as per GoN’s law and acts. 
  • Support Finance Manager, as necessary, to review company’s various policies, systems, procedures, applicable rules, and regulations. 
  • Manage overall internal control system, finalize payment schedule, and proceed for payment with signature. 

Competencies 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Nepali languages 
  • Ability to compile and prepare financial and budget data in-line with corporate rules and regulations
  • Skilled in managing and compiling financial data for reporting 
  • Excellent computer skills as they relate to financial management 
  • Ability to work independently and also in the team 
  • Efficient and excellent time management skills 
  • Excellent supervision and delegation abilities 
  • Strong headed, tactfulness and excellent situation handling abilities 
  • Proactive and perseverance 
  • Ability to set and achieve performance and development goals
