ROLE PURPOSE:
Save the Children is the leading independent organization for children. We save children’s lives; we fight for their rights; we help them fulfill their potential. We work together, with our partners from civil societies and government, to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives. We reached approximately two million populations and invested over 29 million US dollars in 2012 to reach more children than ever before, through programmes in Health, Nutrition, Education, Protection and Child Rights and Governance, Livelihood, HIV and AIDS, and Humanitarian crises.
The purpose of this position is to support the Senior Finance and Admin Coordinator for maintaining efficient financial management in the region.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Collect invoices on time, check and ensure all adequate supporting documents are available.
Ensure procurement process is properly followed and invoices are accurately authorized before the payment.
Check and ensure proper charging and coding of the expenditures.
Prepare vouchers and record into the system.
Ensure timely payments of expenses and settlement of any outstanding and reconcile periodically.
Support Participate in establishing procedures and forms for request and issue of funds for program /operation needs.
Establish and maintain the filing system.
Work together with Sr. Finance/ Award Coordinator to generate and compile financial reports, preparing and revising the regional budget, cash flow forecast, reconciliation of cash, bank and fund and in its utilization,
Ensure/work together with Sr. FAC in the audit concerns are realized, addressed and regularized of the region as well as partner organizations.
Ensure/support PNGOs to fulfil the compliances (local laws, donors requirements, partnership guideline and organisational admin/finance policies and procedures)
Maintain & safely keep back up data of financial data.
Regular monitoring /coaching/support visit in PNGOs.
Ensure that financial reports are submitted by PNGOs within time line and in the required formats.
Provide and guide program staff on the payments of direct implementation activities as per request.
Back up data of electronic finance and finance related documents will be taken daily and safely kept.
Perform the role of an internal auditor of WRO as and when required

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Management
At least 3 years of relevant work experience preferably at INGOs
