The Job:

The Finance Manager is accountable for managing CloudFactory’s day-to-day accounting and financial functions for the Nepal. That would include billing, collections, payable, inter company transactions, internal financial and management reporting, cash management, payroll, etc. You will lead a team of talented professionals  and will guide them in making continuous improvement of accounting and financial processes. You will also enable development of the team with the goal of achieving best practices and optimal output with continuous and constructive feedback.

You will be engaged in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures ensuring that we have compliance. Preparing annual reports and financial statements for smooth information flow to support prudent decision making. You will be responsible for the control of all financial transactions and accounting matters, including liaising with the external auditors, tax officials and internal auditors. You will also ensure that we are adhering to legal and company regulations including timely compliance with legal requirements and liaising with the company secretary.

The General Manager for Nepal will rely on you for financial modelling along with input with regards to new laws and regulations. You will participate in the global financial forecasting process by representing Nepal and assisting to build financial models to ensure availability of timely and relevant information needed for effective decision making by different functions of the company. You will also liaise with various government agencies like Department of Industry, Labor Office, Central Bank, Home Ministry, Office of Company Registrar, etc. As such, you can see your role more as a business partner helping towards the success of many functions and departments at Cloud Factory Nepal.

The Fit:

You will have to manage the company’s finance and compliance functions for Nepal but the responsibility is not limited to just ‘managing’. You should always thrive for excellence and are in ‘perpetual beta’ mode where you will be continuously improving the process, system and giving feedback to headquarter. You, therefore value continuous learning and are not afraid to fail because of the learning it provides you. But you also are someone who does not repeat the same mistake.

You are excited to build and mentor a fantastic team taking care of accounts, finance and compliance of CloudFactory Nepal. You are keen to understand the business and are an excellent all-around communicator. Technically, you have a strong base, and we prefer that you have relevant professional certification like CA, ACCA, CPA, etc. You have the ability and clout to work together with other department heads to understand the finances, develop models and help in decision making on how they would want to run their business.

The Experience:

You have at least 5 years of experience in project management, process management, or similar experience with at least 3 years doing people management. You have scaled your team and delivered outstanding results even when only ambiguous information was available to you and your team. You have proven analytical skills, and have successfully led a high performing team of smart and driven individuals. You also have the experience of managing through a few full accounting cycles including working with external and government auditors.
