  • Experience with multi-currency transactions and understanding of forex regulations in Nepal.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Finance Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our finance and accounting operations in Nepal. This is a hands-on and strategic role responsible for ensuring the financial health, compliance, and operational efficiency of our Nepalese BPO entity. The successful candidate will be a key link between local operations in Nepal and the Group in Australia, playing a critical role in financial reporting, tax planning,transfer pricing compliance, and supporting the group's overall financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management and Reporting:

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the Nepal entity in accordance with both Nepalese Accounting Standards and Group reporting requirements (AASB).
  • Manage the complete end-to-end accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and cost control.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial models for the Nepal operations.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization and margin improvement.
  • Provide insightful commentary and analysis on financial performance to senior management in Australia.

2. Cash Flow and Treasury Management:

  • Manage daily cash flow, forecasting, and working capital requirements for the Nepal entity.
  • Oversee all banking relationships and transactions locally.
  • Execute intercompany fund transfers in compliance with group policies and relevant forex regulations.

3. Taxation and Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure full compliance with all statutory requirements in Nepal, including direct and indirect taxation (Income Tax, VAT), and timely filing of all returns.
  • Liaise with local auditors, tax advisors, and government authorities as required.
  • Stay abreast of changes in Nepalese financial regulations and legislation, advising the group on potential impacts.

4. Transfer Pricing and Intercompany Transactions:

  • A critical function: Ensure all cross-border transactions with related group entities (e.g., service fee charges) are conducted at arm's length and are in full compliance with Nepalese transfer pricing regulations and OECD guidelines.
  • Prepare and maintain robust, contemporaneous Transfer Pricing documentation (Local File).
  • Work closely with the Group's global tax advisors to align policies and mitigate risk.

5. Audit and Internal Controls:

  • Lead the annual statutory audit process for the Nepal entity.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor strong internal control systems and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.

6. Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the local finance team in Nepal.
