Job Description

Position Summary:

Financial Managers are responsible for the financial health of an organization. They produce financial reports, direct investment activities, and develop strategies and plans for the long term financial goals of their organization.

  • Reporting to BOD/ General Manager
  • Function – Planning, Organizing, Financial control
  • Industry - Construction

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing accounts and tax returns ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements
  • Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
  • Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
  • Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken
  • Auditing financial information
  • Compiling and presenting reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries and financial statements
  • Analyzing accounts and business plans
  • Providing tax planning services with reference to current legislation
  • Financial forecasting and risk analysis
  • Negotiating the terms of business deals and moves with clients and associated organizations
  • Managing colleagues, workloads and deadlines
  • Collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries and financial statements
  • Undertaking strategic analysis and assisting with strategic planning
  • Producing long-term business plans
  • Undertaking research into pricing, competitors and factors affecting performance
  • Controlling income, cash flow and expenditure
  • Managing budgets
  • Developing and managing financial systems/models
  • Carrying out business modelling and risk assessments
  • Report to management regarding the finances of establishment
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
