Relief Nepal is a non-profit making, non-governmental, non-political, social development organization of Sindhuli district. It was established in 2008 AD with the core objective of vulnerable and marginalized people especially women, children, youth and people living with marginalized condition are empowerment and participated in decision process about the issue affecting their livelihood. It has successfully implemented Livelihood, Child Rights, WASH, Education and DRR projects in five districts. In partnership with World Vision International Nepal (WVIN), Relief Nepal is implementing Integrated Protection Community Engagement and Sponsorship Plan (P-CESP) in Tinpatan, Golanjor and Phikkal Rural Municipality of Sindhuli district. We are looking for a qualified, competent, dynamic, Leadership and visionaryqualitative candidates for the effective execution of the project at field which will be carried out in partnership with World Vision International Nepal for the following position:

Project: WASH SDG (6) Gender transformative and Nutrition Sensitive Project

Job Location: Sindhuli District

Reporting to: Project Coordinator

Background of the position:

The purpose of this position is effective and efficient administrative and financial management, accurate book keeping and timely/accurate financial reporting of WASH SDG project in Sindhuli district. The person also ensures all the supporting documents are in accordance with policy, procedure of Relief Nepal, Plan International, donor compliance and Income tax act of Government of Nepal. This position is to ensure all the documents are correct, relevant, reliable and reasonable.

Educational Qualification and Experiences:

  • Bachelor degree in business management.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in managing finance function.
  • Hands- on experience in working with INGOs/NGOs
  • Experience in dealing with audit, tax related matters and issues.
  • Wider perspective of financial and administrative management in developmental organizations
  • Work in financial software and spreadsheets

Knowledge:

  • Operation Manual on financial administration
  • Financial audit requirements
  • Different options and possibilities of administrative and financial operations
  • Manual and computer-based accounting systems

Skill:

  • Analytical & Problem Solving
  • Communication/ Listening
  • Inter-personal dealing

  • Networking/ Documenting
  • Report writing skills in English
  • Advance computer skills in Word, Excel, and accounting software’s

Key Job role/ Specific responsibilities:

This will include, but not limited to the following:

Financial Part:

  • Assist the organisation in preparation of budget
  • Maintain financial files and records
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statement
  • Establish new and maintain existing supplier accounts
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements
  • Monitor cash reserves and statements
  • Prepare balance sheets
  • Maintain the assets register
  • Issue cheques for account due
  • Process and record petty cash transactions
  • Collect office consumables and stationery, kitchen and bathroom supplies
  • Liaise with the auditor to produce annual financial statements
  • Provide timely, accurate and relevant financial reports

Administrative Part:

  • Deal with incoming & outgoing mail
  • Organise& book venues for various meetings and events
  • Logging information in respect of membership enquiry, process membership payments, correspond with members and assisting with membership development
  • Maintain and update computerized & manual filing systems
  • Maintain fixed assets register and inventory record

Logistic Part:

  • Maintain Annual Purchase Requisition
  • Prepare the Vendor List for purchase of any items
  • Call and Collect quotation from vendors

HR Function

  • Maintains personal files, staff leave record, attendance register, timesheet, reconciliations, fixed asset registers, stationary stock register, vendor roster, purchasing files, agreement files, incoming/outgoing register etc
