Duty Station: Based in Kanchanpur district with frequent field travel to Banke
Period: One year with 3 month probation period (Possibility of extension)
Essential Qualification, Skill and Experience
- Bachelor Degree (preferable Master degree) in social science or relevant subject
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant work experience, particularly in the area of disability and Gender
- Strong skills in communication, coordination, networking and teamwork
- Ability to work with multi task, able to work in short deadlines with intense pressure
- Strong coordination and inter personal skill to work with different stakeholders for advocacy and lobby and representing organization
- Understanding of disability rights, women with disability rights and women rights
- Sound knowledge of project management
- Good English and Nepali (written and spoken) language, Report and proposal writing skill
Major Duties:
- Overall in charge and responsibility to implement a project entitled "Empowerment of WWDs in Nepal"
- Maintain sound communication and coordination with the supporting agency concerning the all aspects related to the project
- Prepare annual plan, budget and narrative and finance report as per the instruction of the supporting partner, and also the NDWA rules and regulations
- Ensure the timely implementation of the project activities along with the follow up and monitoring of the project results/indicators
- Strong knowledge and skill to develop project proposal, Report Writing, M&E, development trainings and maintain regular linkage with project. NDWA's capacity building through the delivery of Proposal Writing
- Co-ordinate with different women's network, government agencies, and civil society on behalf of the project, and also the organization
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the NDWA board
- Contributes to the process of developing plans, compiling reports and documentation. Ensure periodic evaluation of related projects
- To manage monitoring data in line with NDWA’s monitoring and evaluation framework
- To advocate NDWA’s cause/goals at all levels as when possible
- Establish and efficiently manage the electronic filing system
- Support the information sharing among regional offices and executive board
