Umbrella Organization Nepal (UON) is a non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian and Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), which has been working in Nepal since 2005 and has all relevant registrations required to perform development activities in Nepal, invites applicants for the position of Field Operations Coordinator (Part-Time). The selected candidate will contribute to the successful implementation of the project "Aandhikhola School of Bamboo Technology and River Restoration", being implemented in Waling Municipality-9, Syangja.

Position: Field Operations Coordinator (Part-Time)
Number of Positions: 1
Duty Hours: 4 hours per day
Contract Duration: 6 months (fixed term)
Job Location: Waling, Syangja
Salary: As per Organization’s Policy (Negotiable)

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervision and Coordination

  • Oversee and supervise field staff and ongoing project activities.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations at the bamboo treatment center.

2. Stakeholder Representation

  • Represent UON in meetings and collaborations with local government, and other concerned stakeholders.
  • Foster strong relationships with community members.

3. Project Development

  • Explore and recommend innovative ideas to enhance project activities.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for the project’s sustainability and impact.

4. Reporting and Communication

  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on project progress and activities.
  • Develop content for effective communication, including graphics and social media posts.

5. Administrative Support

  • Manage social media pages and online platforms to promote project activities.
  • Assist in designing and editing project materials using basic graphic tools.

6. Other Duties

  • Support the Senior Project Officer in ensuring project objectives are met.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to facilitate the smooth operation of the project.
  • Any other duties deemed appropriate by the Line Manager or Program Director.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in the relevant field.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in Nepali, English (reading and writing).

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Office, Email, etc.).
  • Knowledge of graphic designing tools and social media management.

Other Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • High level of creativity and problem-solving ability.
  • Good moral character and dedication to work.

Special Priority

  • Priority will be given to qualified candidates from the local area of the project site.
