Main Responsibilities:

  • Overall preparation and planning of programme activities in the district
  • Take a lead on advocacy, coordination, communication, linkages, partnership and community/social mobilization
  • Responsible for overall management of human resources
  • Ensure effective supportive supervision and monitoring of program activities in the field
  • Act as a security focal person for the base
  • Ensure office financial and administrative procedures are respected and followed
  • Responsible for recording, documentation, and reporting
  • Represent the organization in clusters and working groups in its relevant programme areas

Qualifications And Required Skills:

  • Master’s degree in social science, public health, nutrition, development studies or a relevant discipline
  • At least four years of extensive experience in the development sector with significant exposure to CMAM/IMAM, nutrition in Emergency and/or Livelihood and Food security.
  • At least 1-2 years previous experience in independently managing a field unit.
  • Previous experience of working in a Senior Management Team would be an advantage
  • Previous experience of working in Terai region is desirable
  • Strong knowledge/understanding of health systems and livelihood issues in Nepal
  • Ability to work in diverse team and environment with short deadlines and intense pressure.
  • Sensitive and responsive to Gender and Diversity, knowledge about Social Inclusion
  • Excellent standard of written and spoken English and Nepali
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, communication, negotiation skills
  • Sound knowledge of community/social mobilization
  • Should be innovative and should have problem-solving skills
  • Should be result oriented
  • Excellent computer skills including navigating email, internet and MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
