Job Description

Type of the Position: Project Based Contract
Work Station: Site Office
Reporting Lines: Position holder 
Reports to: Contract Manager/Chief Engineer/Project Manager 

Summary

Plan and implement contract management aspects of the     project. Prepares and monitors project plans and schedule. Write all the corresponding letter related to claims and contract. Prepare IPC. 

Work descriptions and Responsibility

  • Prepare procurement plan, procurement documents and assist in procurement management
  • Assist in facilitating compliance to the contract, advise on contractual matters and interpret the contract
  • Review of project correspondences received and advise on problem areas together with identification of any changes/additions/deletions to the contract
  • Support in the preparation and negotiation subcontract agreements if needed
  • Assist PM in warranties, performance bonds and insurance and ensure that they are in place in accordance with the main contract and any subcontract conditions
  • Support PM in drafting contractual correspondences and follow ups
  • Ensure that clear and accurate records of contractual matters are maintained to monitor key dates, against the dates defined in the main contract and any subcontracts
  • Prepare contract supplements as necessary
  • Attend meetings concerning progress, contractual matters, and assist in preparing and issuing minutes of such meetings
  • Ensure that letters are issued and received in accordance with  the contract
  • Assist in reviewing and processing of Interim payment certificates 
  • Assist to review the project schedule
  • Liaise with and obtain information from Employer/consultants for updating and reporting purposes
  • Participate in weekly and monthly meetings with Consultant/Employer as required
  • Assist to prepare the monthly progress reports as required
  • Other duties as assigned by the PM
