The primary objectives of the Business Coordinator are to:
- Promote and expand sales of organic and bio-fertilizers, and bio-pesticides.
- Increase adoption of eco-friendly inputs through technical demonstrations and training.
- Strengthen cooperatives and farmer institutions for bulk purchase and local distribution.
- Establish direct engagement with commercial farmers and local governments for sustainable input supply and application.
- Provide technical support and problem-solving services to farmers.
Scope of Work / Duties and Responsibilities
Sales and Market Promotion
- Promote and sell company’s full product portfolio including chemical fertilizers, bio- fertilizers, and bio-pesticides.
- Prepare and implement area-wise sales plans in coordination with the Business team.
- Conduct marketing campaigns, awareness drives, and seasonal offers to increase sales.
Farmer Interaction and Field Advisory
- Conduct regular visits to commercial farms, cooperatives, and progressive farmers.
- Advise farmers on balanced fertilization, soil health, integrated nutrient and pest management.
- Troubleshoot field problems related to nutrient deficiencies or input misuse.
Promotion of Bio-Inputs
- Lead field-level promotion of bio-fertilizers and bio-pesticides with clear messaging on benefits and application methods.
- Support organic and semi-organic growers in transitioning toward bio-inputs.
- Organize demo plots, result-sharing meetings, and success stories of bio-input use.
Demonstration and Adoption Campaigns
- Design and execute wide-scale demonstrations of key products (including new or underutilized ones) for better adoption.
- Coordinate with field staff, cooperatives, and lead farmers to implement effective trials.
- Monitor demo results, document impacts, and use them as promotion tools.
Cooperative and Institutional Strengthening
- Identify and build partnerships with agriculture cooperatives, producer groups, and local agri-entrepreneurs.
- Facilitate bulk purchasing and stock management of fertilizers at cooperative level.
- Assist cooperatives in input planning, inventory, and post-sales support.
Local Government Coordination
- Engage with local governments for institutional sales, awareness programs, and potential public-private cooperation.
- Facilitate preparation of proposals, MoUs, and fertilizer demand plans in alignment with municipal agriculture strategies.
Strategic Market Development
- Conduct market assessment and customer profiling to identify growth opportunities.
- Monitor competitors’ pricing and promotional activities.
- Propose area-specific sales penetration strategies to senior management.
Training and Capacity Building
- Deliver technical sessions to farmers, cooperatives, and local officials on fertilizer usage, soil management, and safe chemical handling.
- Promote farmer literacy on nutrient balance, environmental sustainability, and cost-effective farming.
Reporting and Documentation
- Submit regular reports on sales, field visits, demonstrations, government interaction, and cooperative engagement.
- Maintain a detailed database of farmers, cooperatives, demo plots, and institutional buyers.
- Document success cases, field challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
