Nepal Clearing House Ltd (NCHL) is a Payment System Operator licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank and promoted by NRB and almost all the banks & financial institutions to establish and operate national payment systems in Nepal. It is currently operating Electronic Cheque Clearing (NCHL-ECC), Interbank Payment System (NCHL-IPS), Retail Payment Switch (RPS) and National Payment Switch (NPS) with processing of over 85% of retail transactions in terms of value within Nepal. Additional channel platforms that NCHL is providing includes connectIPS, National Payments Interface (NPI), CORPORATEPAY, connectRTGS and NEPALPAYQR. NCHL is expanding its team to drive its existing systems, businesses and operations including National Payment Switch (NPS), cross border payments and new innovative products & services. Hence, it invites application from qualified and competent Nepali nationals for the following positions.

Job Description

This is a time-bound paid fellowship opportunity at NCHL. The selected candidates shall be provided with time-based specific assignments in one of the departments with the opportunity to work on real projects and/or operations. And upon completion of the fellowship period and based on the performance, limited candidates may be offered full-time employment. Fellowship are currently available as follows.

  • Fellow – Software & Product Development (Android, iOS, Java & React and Python)
  • Fellow – Business Development
  • Fellow – Digital Operations

Job Specification:

  • Final year/ semester Bachelor in Engineering/IT/IS/IM, Science or related field for Software & Product Development and Digital Operations. Final year/ semester Bachelor in Science, Business/Management or related field for Business Development. Fresh graduate may also apply.
  • Self-starter, team player and learning attitude to make a meaningful impact in Fintech industry are encourage to apply.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think creatively and critically.
  • Knowledge of web/ mobile applications, computer languages, databases, Linux/ Windows OS, network technologies expected for technical positions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity in B2B/B2C landscape of FinTech industry expected for non-tech positions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
