Roles and responsibilities of this job

To research, analyze, and forecast fashion and eyewear trends, compile monthly market intelligence, and provide actionable recommendations on product design, ordering, and production - ensuring the brand stays ahead of competitors and aligned with customer demand.

Key Responsibilities:

Trend & Market Research

Track global and local fashion trends through fashion shows, industry reports, social media, influencers, and competitor activity.
Identify emerging colors, shapes, materials, and finishes in eyewear and related fashion categories.
Create monthly trend boards with visual references for the design and product teams.

Sales & Style Analysis

Work with sales data to identify best-selling and underperforming SKUs by style, gender, and price point.
Provide monthly insights on why certain styles work and others don’t.
Recommend reorders, restyling, or discontinuation of products based on data.

Competitor & Retail Intelligence

Monitor competitor product launches, campaigns, pricing, and retail displays.
Conduct store visits (malls, franchise outlets) to capture new visual merchandising ideas.

Consumer Feedback & Engagement

Gather customer feedback from store teams, franchise partners, and social media.
Analyze engagement data (likes, saves, shares) to identify high-interest styles.

Product & Production Recommendations

Suggest new product developments for upcoming seasons.
Identify material and technology innovations for eyewear production.
Prepare seasonal pre-order plans to ensure timely production.

Monthly Reporting

Prepare a comprehensive Fashion/Style Monthly Report covering trends, sales analysis, competitor intelligence, and recommendations.
Present findings to management and product teams.

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

Timeliness and quality of monthly reports.
Accuracy of trend predictions (measured by product sell-through rates).
Number of actionable recommendations adopted by the design and production teams.
Improvement in product sell-through and reduced overstock/slow-moving items.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in fashion trend research, product merchandising, or a similar role.
Experience in the eyewear or accessories industry is preferred but not required.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of fashion and eyewear trends.
Ability to read and interpret sales and market data.
Excellent visual presentation skills (mood boards, trend decks).
Strong research and observation skills.
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and trend tracking tools.
Eye for detail, color, and design aesthetics.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
