Job Description

Basic Function of the Position:

The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching high school level students. The teacher will plays a crucial role in overseeing the academic direction and administrative management of the Mathematics department within a school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and implement a comprehensive and challenging Mathematics curriculum.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction to high school students, fostering a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.
  • Lead and manage the Mathematics department, including mentoring and supporting other Mathematics teachers.
  • Coordinate and chair departmental meetings to discuss curriculum, pedagogy, and student performance.
  • Provide academic guidance and support to students, including tutoring and mentoring as needed.
  • Stay current with developments in Mathematics education and pedagogy through continuous professional development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and departmental activities.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for school leadership and stakeholders as required.
