About the job

Job Summary: The Factory Manager will oversee all production activities on the factory floor, ensuring operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This role is pivotal in maintaining the standards of quality while pushing for continuous improvement in all aspects of production.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:Oversee daily operations of the factory floor, including scheduling, workflow management, and quality control.
Ensure production targets are met in terms of quantity, quality, and timing.
Implement and monitor production protocols to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
Quality Assurance:Develop routine maintenance and calibration checklist and conduct routine checks on machine.
Work closely with the machine operations team to maintain high product quality standards.
Address and resolve any production issues or defects promptly.
Manage quality assurance reports based on ISO 9001 protocols.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety regulations and procedures are adhered to, reducing workplace accidents.
Document and Update standard operating protocols and safety protocols
Recieve ToT on safety protocols and provide training to the machine operators on safety
Resource Management: Manage inventory to ensure availability for production without overstocking.
Coordinate with operations lead for timely acquisition of materials and supplies.
Supervise human resources inside the factory and communicate with the operations lead for any complaints and comments.
Coordinate with the operations lead for assessing capacity and training requirements for human resources.
Support the operations lead for any correspondence with the government authorities.
Maintenance and Equipment: Oversee maintenance schedules and ensure all machinery is in optimal working condition.
Work with machine oeprations teams to minimize downtime and address any equipment issues swiftly.
Coordinate with operations lead for procuring maintenance services either locally or through the corporate office.
Documentation and Reporting: Keep daily track of machines, methods and human resource on efficiency and identified problems.
Weekly meeting with operations lead and corporate office team to discuss problems, solutions, and feedback.
Prepare and present regular reports on production metrics, and efficiency to senior management.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering,
Experience: Prior Experience working in a production facility, especially an extrusion blow factory is an added advantage.
Skills: Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
Good command of working with software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions: This position requires working in a factory environment.
No additional logistics remuneration such as accommodation is provided*. Locally based applicants are preferred.
Must be flexible with working hours, including shifts as needed to meet production demands.
