Job Description

Do  you have experience in facilities management and a desire to join a dynamic, community-focused  organization? Bagaichā, a multidisciplinary art and food hub, is seeking a Facilities Manager to join our  team. 

As the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and improvement  of our unique multi-disciplinary space. You will work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to  ensure that all of our facilities are well-maintained, safe, and equipped to meet the needs of our customers,  artists, and business partners. 

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU: 

  • Delegate cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members. 
  • Supervise all facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors. 
  • Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments. 
  • Monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, performance spaces,  parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces. 
  • Schedule routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors. 
  • Allocate office space according to needs. 
  • Ensure proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system  vendors or a team of security professionals. 
  • Maintain day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders. 
  • Create reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other  relevant staff. 
  • Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions. 
  • Collaborate with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs.
