Federation of Woman Entrepreneurs’ Associations of Nepal (FWEAN) established in 2003 is a not-for-profit organization representing the collective efforts of women entrepreneurs in the economic progress of the nation and decision-making at national and international levels. FWEAN aims to promote women entrepreneurship through advocacy, networking, information dissemination and capacity building throughout the country. It is an apex body of Women Entrepreneurs’ Associations in Nepal (WEAN), with 50 subsidiary WEAN chapters at present.

FWEAN is seeking for a sincere Nepali candidate who is experienced, qualified and can work independently by maintaining integrity at its office based in Kathmandu.

Qualified candidates will have the following credentials:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, public administration, social development, economics or other related field
  • 5+ years in non-profit management with at least 3 years’ senior level management experience
  • Proven successes in fundraising, fiscal management, budgeting, and forecasting
  • A creative vision with strengths in building and retaining collaborative partnerships
  • Skills in engaging with the stakeholders and communicating with diplomacy and inclusion
  • Ability to effectively represent the organization while promoting its mission and goals
  • Work with a dedicated team of voluntary Board members who share a vision for success and Secretariat staff as a great leader and team player
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in Nepali and English

Job Description

  • The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plan of the organization. 
  • Key duties include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors. 
  • Works with Board and staff to ensure that the mission, vision, objective and strategy is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning and outreach activities. 
  • Identifies opportunities to increase effectiveness through partnership and networks
  • Responsible for effective planning, implementation and evaluation of all programs and projects. 
  • Prepares Annual report, brochures, organization's strategies and other materials for publication.
  • Ensure that all the documents are managed in a manner that can be stored, retrieved and shared efficiently, in that sense make use of ICT for this.
  • Ensures that policies and procedures, human and financial resources are in place for effective management of programs/ projects.
