Job Description

  • Conserving the CEO's time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting documents; collecting and analysing information; initiating telecommunications.
  • Collecting daily/weekly/monthly reports from concerned managers of all the sister companies - Surya Ply, Surya Rug House, Surya Exim, Sarawagi Overseas and Sarawagi Foundation. Collecting and analysing information, providing CEO with summarised reports on each business, pointing out bottlenecks, ineffective cost management and unjustified overheads; researching and suggesting best practices, solutions.
  • Collecting cost sheets from the accounts departments of all the businesses and analysing them.
  • Maintaining CEO’s appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel.
  • Representing the CEO by attending meetings in his absence; speaking for the CEO.
  • Welcoming guests and customers by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries. Picking up/dropping customers or guests from/to the airport on the CEO’s behalf.
  • Maintaining customer confidence and protecting operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Completing projects by assigning work to clerical staff; following up on results.
  • Securing information by completing data base backups.
  • Providing historical reference by developing and utilising filing and retrieval systems; recording meeting discussions, preparing and communicating minutes.
  • Maintaining office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; evaluating new office products; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Ensuring operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Staying up to date on all industries concerned with the CEO and recommending best practices or innovation.
  • Keeping track of and ensuring timely renewal of trademarks, licenses, vehicle blue books etc.
