Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Event Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, executing, and evaluating events and consumer engagement activities that strengthen FMCG brands, increase consumer awareness, generate trials, and support sales and marketing objectives.

The role manages brand activations, product launches, exhibitions, roadshows, sampling campaigns, dealer/distributor events, corporate events, sponsorships, consumer engagement programs, and promotional events.

The Event Manager works closely with Marketing, Brand, Sales, Trade Marketing, Digital Marketing, agencies, vendors, distributors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful and cost-effective event execution.

Key Responsibilities

Develop annual and campaign-wise event plans aligned with brand and business objectives.
Identify suitable events and consumer engagement opportunities for target markets.
Develop event concepts, themes, objectives, and execution plans.
Prepare event timelines, checklists, budgets, and resource requirements.
Plan and execute BTL activities, consumer activations, roadshows, sampling programs, mall activations, retail activations, and experiential marketing campaigns.
Work with Brand and Marketing teams to ensure the launch communicates the desired brand positioning.
Manage complete event execution from planning through completion.
Coordinate venue selection, permissions, logistics, manpower, transportation, equipment, branding, and entertainment.
Identify and coordinate with event, activation, production, creative, printing, entertainment, and logistics agencies.
Prepare event budgets and cost estimates.
Manage event expenses within approved budgets.
Coordinate with Sales and Trade Marketing teams for market-level events and activations.
Manage games, competitions, sampling, demonstrations, experiences, and promotional activities.
Identify relevant sponsorship opportunities for company brands.
Evaluate sponsorship proposals based on brand relevance and expected ROI.
Coordinate sponsorship agreements and deliverables.
Coordinate with Digital Marketing teams to integrate online and offline event activities.
Support social media promotion before, during, and after events.
Coordinate promoters, brand ambassadors, hosts, volunteers, security, technicians, and temporary staff.
Conduct event risk assessments.
Develop contingency plans for weather, technical problems, venue issues, and other
Prepare pre-event, event-day, and post-event reports.
Analyze attendance, consumer engagement, product sampling, leads, sales impact, and brand visibility.
