We are a not-for-profit NGO based in Kathmandu, working in rural communities of Nepal.

Our mission is to empower marginalized communities through equitable, inclusive and holistic development programs. There are four pillars in our developmental approach: Education, Health & Environment, Economy and Basic infrastructure development. These four pillars of development are supported by six major community empowerment programs namely Women’s Empowerment, Children’s Development, Youth Empowerment, Public Health & Medical care, Environment Conservation and Disaster Risk Reduction. Location: Kathmandu with frequent visits to Okhaldhunga
Duration: Two years (Extendable)
Salary & Benefits: Rs. 50,000 - Rs.75,000 

Note: You must own a two-wheeler and an active driving license.

Volunteers Initiatives Nepal (ViN) is searching for a passionate leader to join our team as an ESC HumAid Project Supervisor. This is your chance to spend two transformative years leading impactful community development projects and fostering rewarding experiences for international volunteers.

  • Develop and manage projects that empower Nepali communities.
  • Mentor and guide international volunteers, shaping their experience and fostering cross-cultural understanding.
  • Build strong partnerships with local stakeholders, ensuring sustainable projects meet community needs.
  • Witness the positive change your efforts create, from improved livelihoods to environmental protection.

Your Essential Duties:

  • Develop and manage projects aligned with ViN’s mission and ESC HumAid guidelines.
  • Oversee budgets and resources to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Mentor and guide international and local volunteers throughout their placements.
  • Train and empower the team of ESC HumAid project. 
  • Build strong partnerships with local stakeholders for project sustainability.
  • Conduct needs assessments to tailor interventions to community priorities.
  • Organise workshops, awareness campaigns, and community outreach activities.
  • Track project progress, identify challenges, and implement solutions.
  • Generate reports documenting project activities, achievements, and impact.

Are you the right fit?

  • You hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field.
  • You have at least five years of experience managing community development projects.
  • Nepal’s social issues (child protection, youth and gender equality, environment, public health) are close to your heart.
  • You’ve thrived working with international volunteers in the past.
  • Project management, communication, and interpersonal skills are your forte.
  • Fluency in English and Nepali (written and spoken) is a must.
  • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to bridge cultures are in your DNA.
  • You’re a problem-solver with a passion for social development and community empowerment.
