1. The Government of Nepal has received a loan from Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Bagmati River Basin Improvement Project - Additional Financing. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the Contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB. 

2. The High-Powered Committee for Integrated Development of the Bagmati Civilization, Bagmati River Basin Improvement Project, Guheshwori ("the Employer") invites sealed bids from eligible bidders, based on post-qualification criteria, for the design, execution, completion and operation of 17.3 MLD Tukucha Khola Waste Water Treatment Plant based on Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) Technology with five years Operation & Maintenance. 

3. Open Competitive Bidding - International advertisement will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: Two-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.

5. To purchase the Bidding Documents in English, eligible bidders should 

  • Write to address or e-mail address above requesting the bidding document for BRBIP AF/02W/2020: Design, Build and Operate of Tukucha Khola Wastewater Treatment Plant and deposit a non-refundable fee of NRs 20,000.00 or US $ 200.00 in the bank account mentioned below by 7 March, 2021.

Request for delivery by sending a written application to the Project Director at the address indicated above. The document will be sent by courier or registered airmail, but under no circumstances will the Employer be held responsible for late delivery or loss of documents so sent out.

6. Pre-bid meeting will be held at 13:00 Hrs (NST) on 21 January 2021 both online and physical at the same time in HPCIDBC Office at Guheshwari, Kathmandu. The details of the notice including links are published on www.brbip.gov.np. 

7. Deliver your bid:

  • On or before the deadline: 8 March 2021; 12:00 Hrs. (NST). In case the final bid submission day is a public holiday, the final bid submission date shall be next working day. 
  • Together with a Bid Security of 700,000 USD or an equivalent amount in freely convertible currency. Technical bids will be opened on 8 March 2021 at 12:30 Hrs. (NST) in the presence of bidders' representatives who choose to attend both online and physical. 

8. The HPCIDBC will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids.
