Invitation for Bids

HANDS Nepal invites for bids from eligible bidders to the construction firm for the construction of School Buildings and Toilet Blocks of the HANDS Nepal project.
Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications should participate in bidding:

• Minimum Construction work of similar nature should be Rs.One crore and above (Applicable for Contract No. 1 and 2)
• Minimum Work experience of similar size and nature: At least three successful completions of similarly types of building construction of government, public school, hospital and commercial building having biding amount more than 60 lacks per building. (Applicable for Contract No. 1 and 2) 
• Annual turn of firm should above Rs. 4 crores in last two consecutive years according to tax clearance certificate (Applicable for Contract No. 1 and 2) and Rs. 50 lakhs for Contact no. 3.
• Should have own vehicle for good/construction materials and construction equipment, enough storage capacity of construction materials and enough human resources.
• Firm should have valid construction contractor licenses with renewable.
• Firm should have registration in authorized government agencies and internal revenue department with VAT certificate including tax clearance (latest).

1. Interested bidder can submit bid document 35 days from the date of publication of the notice i.e. BS 2078 Magh 18 at 4:00 pm. The bid document can be collected directly through HANDS Nepal Office or by electronic mail at [email protected] by BS 2078 Magh 18 at 11:00 AM. 

2. Interested Bidder may register firm to receive bid document electronically. Firm can request bid document from HANDS Nepal after registration. HANDS Nepal will accept an email from interested bidder for bid document before Magh 15, 2078 at 4:00 and response will be sent by HANDS Nepal within 24 hrs electronically.

3. Interested bidder should provide cover letter, copy of firm registration, renewal (if applicable), copy of PAN with VAT, copy of contractor license and tax clearance of FY2077/78. These documents are mandatory for firm registration both physically and electronically.

4. Only hard copy sealed bid will be accepted with entire supporting documents related to bid (such as Company/firm legal documents, bid documents and bid security vouchers/IPs vouchers and other) at the HANDS Nepal office (Sindhulimadi, Kamalamai Municipality-6, Sindhuli, Nepal). No electronic copy of bid will be accepted. 

5. Bidders must deposit the bid security amount in following details and validity will be 90 days from bid open days.

6. The bids will be opened at 12:00 pm BS 2078 Magh 19 in the presence of employer and partner's representative and bidder's representative who choose to attend at the HANDS Nepal office (Kamalamai-6, Sindhuli Nepal). Bid opening will be opened in presence or absence of bidder's representative/s.

7. Bidders may apply for single bid or all three bids. However, bidders should submit entire bid documents and related document for each contract.

8. If the last date of purchasing and /or submission falls on a government holiday, then the next working day shall be considered as a last date. In such case the validity period of the bid security shall remain the same as specified for the original last date of bids submission.

9. The HANDS Nepal reserve the entire right to accept or reject any proposal also the office reserve the right to award the contract partially or fully.

10. Bidders /Contractors must visit construction location/site before submission of bids at their own cost.
