CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), Nepal Country Office, is in the process of updating/developing a roster for the following categories:
Category 1 FOOD VENDORS: For the supply of food commodities such as white rice, red/yellow lentils (masoor/chana dal), chickpeas (small whole gram), yellow split peas (YSP), refined soybean/palmolein oil, iodized salt, sugar, wheat soyabean blend (blended fortified food), high energy biscuits, etc.
Category 2 IN-LAND TRANSPORT: For transport services within Nepal, including multi-leg transportation through trucks/tractors/mules/porters.
- Category 3 OVERLAND TRANSPORT: For clearing, forwarding and transportation of food commodities (such as rice, lentils, vegetable oil, wheat/corn soya blend, minerals, vitamins and pre-mixes) and non-food items (any type) from the Kolkata Port to WFP nominated warehouses in Nepal, including customs clearance services and superintendent services at Kolkatta Port.
- Category 4 COMMODITY HANDLING, WAREHOUSE LABOUR AND CLEANING SERVICES: For loading, offloading, stacking, stack-rotating and cleaning services in the WFP warehouses located in various places in Nepal.
- Category 5 PEST CONTROL AND FUMIGATION SERVICES: For pest control and fumigation services of WFP purchased and imported food commodities at WFP warehouses or at other WFP nominated places in Nepal.
- Category 6 WAREHOUSE LEASING SERVICES: For warehouse leasing services across Nepal to store food and non-food items.
- Category 7 SUPERINTENDENCE SERVICES: Superintendence activity service for verifying the quantity and conditions of the cargo and reporting on any losses and damages.
- Category 8 LABORATORY TESTING SERVICES: Laboratory testing service for physiochemical, microbiological, heavy metals, toxins and GMO tests of cereal grains and their products.

The questionnaire is to be completed and submitted electronically in PDF form to [email protected] or interested parties may submit hard copies of their EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (in English) at the World Food Programme, Nepal Country Office, PO BOX:107, Bhanimandal, Lalitpur, by 25 October 2024.
