About The Asia Foundation:

The Asia Foundation (The Foundation) is a non-profit international development organization committed to improving lives across a dynamic and developing Asia-Pacific. Informed by six decades of experience and deep local expertise, our work across the region is focused on good governance, women’s empowerment and gender equality, inclusive economic growth, environment and climate action, and regional and international relations.

Background:

The Subnational Governance Program in Nepal (SNGP) is implemented through a strategic partnership between the Australian Government and The Asia Foundation and supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. The program's goal is to promote an enabling environment for a stable, effective, and inclusive subnational government in Nepal that addresses the health and economic security of all, including women, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups.

Objectives and Scope of Work:

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is one of the core values of The Foundation Nepal office. The Foundation is currently taking a dual-track approach to ensure disability inclusion in both programmatic and institutional level.

Through this call for application, the Foundation aims to identify and collaborate with the organization working actively in the disability rights sector. The selected organization will provide technical assistance to SNGP and the Foundation on disability focused initiatives. Future collaboration will include, but not limited to:

  1. Policy review and formulation through a disability inclusion lens
  2. Conduct assessment to evaluate disability inclusive practices within the organization as well the programs
  3. Design and conduct trainings and workshops on disability inclusion
  4. Support design and implementation of targeted intervention using context sensitive and adaptive management approach

Submission of Expression of Interest:

Interested organizations are requested to submit the following:

  • Cover letter expressing interest and outlining relevant experience
  • Organization profile highlighting relevant qualifications and expertise.
  • Sample of relevant work
  • CVs of key personnel

Submissions must be emailed to  [email protected]  by 21 August 2025. Submissions received before or on this date shall be evaluated, and organizations who are deemed qualified will be shortlisted and contacted for further information. Late submissions will not be entertained.
