Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a dedicated and reflective English Teacher – Middle School students of Grade 8 who is passionate about fostering strong language, literacy, and critical thinking skills in students. The ideal candidate will actively engage in the school’s culture of self and community reflection, promoting core values while creating an inclusive and intellectually stimulating classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the middle school curriculum
Develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and analytical skills through literature and language activities
Create a classroom environment that reflects the school’s core values and promotes mutual respect
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive and timely feedback
Integrate reflective practices that support both student growth and institutional values
Use diverse teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles
Foster a love for literature and effective communication
Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen curriculum and interdisciplinary learning
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student development
Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
Prior teaching experience at the middle school level is preferred
Strong command of English language (spoken and written)
Sound knowledge of literature and language teaching methodologies
Ability to create engaging and student-centered learning experiences
Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
Commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional growth
