Job Description

The Job :
Logpoint is seeking a dynamic and accomplished leader to oversee our Security Research Team.  While domain expertise in security is not required, a foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles is beneficial. This team is instrumental in producing Detection and Response capabilities (Detections, automation and orchestration, data visualization and reports, etc.), providing domain expertise to data science teams, and producing high-value marketing content. The SR team primarily ;

  • collaborates with Research teams on ground-breaking AI projects and
  • Detection across the visibility triad of SIEM, UEBA, NDR and EDR
  • Investigation and response in SOAR, Network and Endpoints
  • Support engineering leadership in shaping the tech architecture


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Utilize project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum) to ensure effective planning, execution and delivery of projects.

  • Problem-Solving: Address challenges, remove obstacles and make informed decisions to benefit the team and organization.
  • Performance Monitoring: Evaluate team performance, provide constructive feedback and implement improvements to maintain high standards.
  • Innovation Facilitation: Encourage and facilitate innovation within the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively engage with various stakeholders, ensuring the team's output meets or exceeds expectations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a managerial role, preferably within the technology or cybersecurity industry.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination abilities with a track record of managing high-performing teams.
  • Strong project management experience with knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • A foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles and SIEM tools is advantageous.
  • Experience in data analytics and working with data science teams.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles to guide high-value content creation.
  • Ability to lead innovation efforts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
