Position: Engineer – Backbone & Core Transport

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for IP core, NAT, VOIP FW, GRX/IPX and PoP/IPLC.
Responsible for strategy and capacity planning for long term operation.
Responsible for network planning, implementation, upgradation, operation and network security.
Support for preparation of AOPs, technical solutions, specifications and guidelines.
BCA and BoM preparation for projects, annual operations of responsible domains.
Manage and ensure high level of network redundancy and availability.
Perform configuration and traffic routing, plan traffic management.
E2E IP-MPLS planning/design, optimization and management.
Regular monitoring of fault and performance of Network.
Shall be responsible for managing NTP/PTP server and network synchronization.
Responsible for up-to-date architecture/diagram and database of responsible domains.
Stock/spare management of responsible network domain.
Shall support planning and operation IP RAN network
Maintain positive team spirit among colleagues to ensure effective realization of targets focusing on the overall success of the company and the satisfaction of customers.
Understand and fully adhere to the company values and code of conduct and act as role model and ambassador of the company.
Perform any other relevant professional duty assigned by management.

Qualification and Experience

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with at least 4 years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
4 years of work experience with multi-vendor (Cisco, Huawei, Juniper) routers, switches and firewalls.
Should have good knowledge of IP MPLS/MPBN network.
Should have good knowledge of NAT and security firewalls.
Should have good knowledge of project management.
Should have good knowledge of routing and switching technology.

Duty Station:
Kathmandu but can be placed anywhere in Nepal as per business needs or future requirements.
