Job Description

The Electrician/Plumber is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical and plumbing systems, equipment, and devices within the hospital to ensure optimal functionality, safety, and efficiency. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with minimal disruption to patient care and hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install new electrical and plumbing systems, equipment, and devices, including lighting, power outlets, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on electrical and plumbing systems, equipment, and devices to ensure optimal functioning.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with electrical and plumbing systems, equipment, and devices to minimize downtime and ensure patient safety.
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical and plumbing systems, equipment, and devices to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as electrical outages, equipment malfunctions, water leaks, or floods, to minimize disruption to patient care.
  • Collaborate with other hospital staff, including nurses, doctors, and maintenance personnel, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and guidelines to prevent the spread of diseases.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure that electrical and plumbing systems, equipment, and devices are functioning safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and installations to ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
