Roles and responsibilities of this job

A leading Hydropower Company operating >50MW project is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support its hydropower projects in plant operations, maintenance, and the design of electromechanical components and transmission lines.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and support electrical operations and maintenance of hydropower plants.
Monitor electrical systems and equipment to ensure reliable and efficient plant operation.
Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Design and review electromechanical components and transmission lines for hydropower projects.
Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and design documents.
Knowledge in SCADA Management.
Identify electrical issues and provide effective engineering solutions.
Coordinate with project and engineering teams for smooth project execution.
Ensure compliance with technical, safety, and project requirements.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

BE in Electrical; Master’s preferred.
5+ years of experience in hydropower plant operations and maintenance of 20MW+ projects.
5+ years of experience in electromechanical component and transmission line design.
Strong knowledge of hydropower electrical systems, operations, and maintenance.
Skilled in electromechanical and transmission line design.
Proficient in electrical troubleshooting, technical analysis, and equipment management.
Strong problem-solving, coordination, and teamwork skills.
Python and MATLAB programming skills are an advantage.

Location: Kathmandu and frequent site visit
