S.B. Web Technology’s Biography Host Magazine is looking for skilled editors who will passionately help the team write, edit and publish biographies of given subjects (usually famous people) and feature articles (related to history, nostalgia, and culture) in an impactful, credible, and engaging manner.
- Edit and publish 4-6 biographies or features per day while leading the team of writers and researchers in the supervision of the Editing Supervisor.
- Directly report to team supervisor or editing supervisor about any issues, concerns, cautions, and analysis and follow the instructions in collaboration.
- Ensure researchers improve their research output in a set period.
- Analyze the published contents and give suggestions to the Editorial team about improvements.
- Be updated about major world news, SEO news, and important moments in world history, the latest celebrities, and influential personalities. Study our target market, magazine audience, and categories, and positively contribute to the topic and content calendar analysis and development.
- Make sure that our articles adhere to our style guidelines. Ensure our writershave correctly summarized their draft on the basis of the format developed by us (For example biographies are made in a chronological format).
- Keep the calendar up to date and closely work with the SEO and Editorial team for better topic management. Implement the SEO strategy developed by the Editorial and SEO department in research.
- Participate in discussion sessions about topics and SEO strategies, and bring new ideas through self-research.
- Ensure that published drafts are grammatically correct, adequately descriptive, and written in a neutral point of view.
- Check if the writer has submitted drafts with appropriate word count, contextual coherence, and credible sources.
- Write a few Editorials and feature articles per month under the supervision of the Editing Supervisor.
- Send rewrites if the submitted draft does not meet our expectations. Keep track of the resubmitted pieces and publish them as per standards.
- Guide a team of writers and researchers. Keep track of the frequently repeated issues, and engage in training and disciplinary actions under the supervision of Editing Supervisors.
- Look after the Content Update process and ensure publishing of quality updates.
- Possibly helps the platform to market the work(s)
- Suggest/work with the team in the formation of new categories in the magazine.
Career Requirements- Individuals who have experience as a magazine editor or in the related field.
- Individuals who have experience in professional biography editing or a history magazine will get special priority.
- For individuals without experience: should be willing to learn, adapt and grow. At least have an understanding of the skills and knowledge mentioned above. If you are not experienced, some conditions will apply in pay and other provisions.
