The Advisor will work towards strengthening collaboration and coordination between public and private sector actors to enhance public service delivery, empower women and youth, strengthen climate resilience, and foster an enabling environment for sustainable private sector development

Duty Station: Kathmandu

Responsibilities:

Partnership Building: Cultivate partnerships with public and private sector actors.
Technical advisory: Provide expert advice to partners and collaborate with key stakeholders on economic governance issues.
Capacity building: Develop trainings to build institutional capacities for local economic development planning and budgeting at municipal and provincial level as well as Gender-Responsive Budgeting and Climate Budget Tagging.
Dialogue and exchange: Set up of public-private dialogue and inter-governmental dialogue fora, Communities of Practice to enable effective exchange and collaboration.
Conducive business environment: Organise the implementation of Business Climate Surveys and certification processes; anchor business development support programmes in provinces.
Results-based management and learning: Embed project results and lessons learned into team processes and broader organizational practices, supporting continuous improvement and learning.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualifications:

Master’s degree in business administration, economics, governance, law or other relevant fields

Professional Experience:

Minimum 5 years of professional experience working in project & stakeholder management, or other relevant professional experience
Technical expertise and interest in project management, economic law, policy, strategy, governance reform and public financial management
Experience in guiding or facilitating multi-stakeholder processes, including public and private sector actors.
Demonstrated knowledge of gender-responsive and climate-resilient approaches to economic development
Extensive experience in preparing and reviewing documents – mainly in English

Required Skills and Competencies

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to foster partnerships and stakeholder collaboration.
Strategic thinking with a demonstrated ability to design scalable and impactful solutions for sustainable development.
Ability to share knowledge effectively and apply lessons learned for programme improvement.
