Roles and responsibilities of this job

As the Early Years In-Charge, you will lead the day-to-day operational affairs of Early Years Program at Genius IB World School in compliance with school’s vision and mission. This role combines classroom practice with dynamic pedagogical leadership mentoring both educators and learners aligning curriculum with the IB philosophy and fostering an inclusive inquiry-based learning environment for young learners.

Key Responsibilities

Guide the implementation and continuous development of the IB PYP framework tailored for Early Years ensuring inquiry-based and play-based learning principles.
Conduct classroom observations, provide constructive feedback and lead collaborative planning and professional development sessions.
Ensure that classroom environments, lesson delivery and assessment practices meet the school’s standards and align with international accreditation requirements.
Act as the point of contact for complex parent inquiries lead admissions orientations for prospective Early Years families and facilitate workshops on early childhood development and the IB framework.
Oversee section schedules, resource allocation, budget planning for classroom materials and transition protocols as children move from Early Years into school.
Deliver inquiry-based lessons that promote social emotional, cognitive and physical growth in alignment with IB standards.
Implement hands-on activities that encourage learning through play, exploration and inquiry-led discovery.
Implement formative and summative assessment strategies to track childrens individual progress ensuring documentation is effectively captured on school reporting platforms.
Foster positive behavior management and self-regulation strategies, maintaining an inclusive and emotionally secure classroom environment.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a recognized equivalent.
Valid teaching certification specializing in Early Childhood Education or PYP authorization will be an advantage.
Minimum 2 to 3 years of proven teaching experience in an international early childhood setting.
Demonstrated experience in a curriculum leadership grade-level chair or supervisory role within a school environment.
Strong working knowledge of the IB PYP framework and inquiry-based pedagogies.

Competencies

Ability to inspire, coach and manage a team of educators while fostering a collaborative workplace culture.
Written, verbal and listening skills to effectively build rapport with children, parents, staff and senior management.
Deep understanding of child development principles practices in early childhood care and modern educational technology.
Proven ability to work under pressure manage competing teaching priorities and maintain meticulous attention, to detail.
