Job Description

National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET)is implementing “USAID Education Emergency Response Project” with the funding support from USAID Nepal for the period of 2024 to 2027. The main objective is to support restoration and recovery of the education system in earthquake affected areas of Jajarkot and Rukum West and contribute towards building resilience of the education system. NSET seeks applications for the following positions from eligible candidates:

Main Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport staff, visitors, or goods to various destinations.
  • Ensure timely arrivals and departures, based on schedules provided.
  • Regularly check and maintain the vehicle, including oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, and other mechanical elements.
  • Ensure that the vehicle is cleaned and in good working order at all times.
  • Report any mechanical issues or necessary repairs to the supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle logbooks.
  • Ensure all vehicle-related documents are up to date, including registration
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and organizational protocols.
  • Safeguard the well-being of passengers and the security of goods during transportation.
  • Ensure the vehicle is equipped with emergency supplies like a first-aid kit and tools for minor repairs.
  • Assist with loading and unloading goods, luggage, or equipment.
  • Provide general administrative support to the office if required.
