Position: District Project Officer

Duty Station: Based in Rautahat with frequent Field Visit

Requirements:

• At least Bachelor’s Degree in social science/ Education/Management or other relevant field of study with 3 years of project implementation experience. Preference will be given to the one who has experience working in inclusive education and early grade reading
• Understanding of current policy, guidelines regarding education in National, Provincial and Local context
• Better understanding of project cycle management tools to ensure effective planning, resourcing, implementation and review of programs /projects
• Knowledge and experience of the financial management, procurement process including budgeting, planning, forecasting,  monitoring and managing expenditure
• Experience of people management and support
• Knowledge and experience on activity planning, facilitation and planning/follow-up skills
• Practical experience of applying development issues at a project or schools/communities and education management level
• Experience on report writing, case study, stories and documentation
• Proven experiences working in diverse, multicultural team
• Fluent in English and Nepali language (writing and speaking)
• Basic skills on use of IT (MS office) 
• Able to frequently travel

• Experience of working with/as volunteer
• Experience of working with local government
• Ability to understand and speak local language of the district/community

Other Information

• The Annual Leave entitlement for full-time staff is 24 working days per year, plus 13 public holidays. The other benefits are: 13th salary and office contribution to Provident Fund, Transport and Communication Allowance. Eligibility for some of the benefits will be upon completion of probation period and some may be available on a prorated basis depending upon the date of joining.
