The Gurkha Welfare Trust Nepal (GWTN) is the field arm of Gurkha Welfare Trust UK, a registered charitable Trust working particularly for the ex-Gurkha Veterans and their communities across Nepal. The Resilient WASH and Emergency Preparedness Programme (RWEPP) is an integral part of the GWT, envisaged to continue to focus on increasing access to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) services in Nepal. RWEPP is also envisaged to include a significant Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) component, to help improve emergency preparedness, resilience and response capacity.
Hence, GWT(N) is seeking applications from all qualified and interested applicants for the position of Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRR/M) Consultant for RWEPP based at its Headquarters, Pokhara. The consultant will provide technical assistance for the Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) element of the FCDO funded programme in Nepal.
Qualifications and Experiences : Master's degree in Disaster Risk Management or related field with previous experience working with UN or/and other l/NGO with a similar scope of programming specific experience in the Nepal DRR context.
