Cedar Gate Technologies is looking for a Director of IT Infrastructure in the infrastructure department. This is a leadership role where you will formulate and deploy operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, project planning, and organizing all facets of the IT Infrastructure department. The Director will functionally report to the Chief Infrastructure Officer, based in our US office. The ideal person will coordinate and govern all daily operational activities of this department and handle the effective delivery of secure networks, development, disaster recovery systems, and processes.

Job Responsibilities

1. Oversee strategic planning of the IT Infrastructure department and ensure they align with the overall business goals.

Develop and support a strategic road map for the IT Infrastructure Department.
Develop KPI metrics that support the department's strategic objectives.
Direct and plan business continuity and disaster recovery within the department.
Be a key participant in project development surrounding new processes and the integration of new processes with existing ones.
Provide leadership and guidance to both offshore and onshore IT teams to create a tightly coupled IT operation.

2. Run a high-quality 24X7 global IT operation by communicating clear direction and expectations.

Formulate operational processes and develop communication channels for other departments to work with different units of the IT Infrastructure department.
Establish and keep an effective system of communications throughout the organization.
Collaborate with the Client Support Team to enhance system-related communication with the clients.
Understand the operational activities of the products along with their underlying infrastructure and help improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of existing systems supporting those activities.
Maintain a comprehensive change control process so that changes are tracked and executed without conflicts as much as possible.

3. Develop and implement a performant AWS (Amazon Web Services) governance model.

Ensure consistency and maintainability of existent cloud infrastructure environments through the creation, maintenance, and enforcement of well-documented standards and procedures for the implementation of technical solutions.
3. Develop budget requirements for cloud infrastructure expansions, special projects, and third-party monitoring.
Identify cost drivers in the cloud infrastructure, conduct data-driven analysis of the cost trends, and draft comprehensive reports that can help in business decisions.
Carry out gap analysis for future systems; identify and evaluate solutions and sourcing alternatives; develop high-level designs and plans; prepare solution budget estimates and business cases.

4. Ensure the enterprise infrastructure is secure and compliant with industry-standard practices.

Create policies and procedures to handle vulnerabilities with respect to their level of severity.
Detect security events, respond, and restore services.
Facilitate initiatives taken by the Security and Compliance Team by communicating requests down the line to IT units without disrupting their operations.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 7 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent), preferably in a technical field such as Computer Science or Computer Engineering
7+ years of relevant experience (3+ years in a leadership role)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
