Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Director of Communications will lead the implementation of an integrated communications and marketing strategy that promotes the UEF and its programs, builds stakeholder partnerships and engagement, and manages the Foundation’s reputation while strengthening internal communications.

Responsibilities:

Lead and implement the foundation’s communications strategy.
Build the profile of Ullens as a center of excellence in education and enhance the visibility of the brand and its programs.
Ensure consistent, high quality internal communications.
Serve as brand custodian.
Protect the reputation of the Foundation.
Build an effective team and network
Oversee the production of Ullens merchandise and set up a campus store.
Develop Ullens Education Foundation’s publications wing.
Oversee the production of general and targeted fundraising materials and events.
Represent the communications team and participate in Foundation leadership meetings, decisions and governance

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 5 years

Other Specification

Competencies and Qualifications

Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Nepali.
A Master’s Degree in a relevant field, preferably in communications.
At least five years of relevant work experience in communications, preferably in large organizations.
Demonstrated social media footprint with hands-on web content development and management of social media accounts.
Extensive network with people in the media.
Experienced in organizing national level workshops, conferences and other events.
Experience producing communications and marketing collateral including posters, brochures, event booths, videos, etc.
Strong empathy and ability to listen well.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, and a passion for taking initiative and getting the job done well.
