Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are looking for an active youth Project Officer to join our team. If you have a passion to develop young people and help their families in the holistic growth of their teenage children, and help build a holistic approach to youth development, we would like to invite you to join part of family to work together in making the dream of ANS a success.

Basis: Full time (10 am to 6 pm)
Objective of the position: To carry out the Youth Centre project at Dharan and implement plans for it effectively.

Major Responsibilities:

Program planning and carrying out all the plans made by the head office
Program organizing (logistics, running errands, and communication)
Program execution and management
Organize periodic programs or events if needed
Program monitoring and evaluation (reporting and feedback)
Take care of the mini library or books for DZ comers
Make a payment, a receipt, and a voucher
Deposit and bank transaction
Administration and finance (bill entry and record keeping)
Handle petty cash and cash flow
Manage day-to-day operations
Record keeping (both soft and hard copy)
Documentation and filing
Take responsibility for ANS properties
Youth supervision and care (Youth values and policies)
Maintain the registration, sign in/ out, visitor logbook, data entry, collect forms, etc.
Handle calls, communication,n and follow-up
Weekly updates and reporting
Facilitate session in weekly CST and coordination
Supervise interns/ volunteers
Provide brief orientation on YC project to anyone who visits by or joins programs
Build rapport with the youths coming
Build rapport with parents of teens
Report writing (monthly, quarterly, semiannual and annual)
Follow program checklists and guidelines
Provide a basic counseling to the youths and parents
Monthly report on both finance administration and program
Coordinate with the local government bodies, vendors and organizations
Oversee building construction project

Other Responsibilities:

Tasks as assigned by the Supervisor (PC)
Take part in other organization-wide events/activities
Get the training, develop skills, and contribute
Coordination with the principal of D.P. Believers School
Hold accountable with the Supervisor and team members
Teamwork and cooperation among team members
Punctuality and confidentiality
Problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills
Fluency in English and Nepali language (both written and spoken)
Good at dealing with others in terms of coordination
Proactiveness and dedication towards the work
Serve a cup of juice/ tea to every youth joining DZ
Serve snacks to youths joining the weekly CST

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Required Age:More than 26 years

Other Specification

Age from 26-36 years
Minimum bachelor's degree running in social work-related field
Minimum 2 years' experience with youth development organization or a structured institute
2-3 years' experience in handling and managing projects
Practical knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
English and Nepali competencies
Team builder and motivator personality
Interpersonal skills

Note:

Preference will be given to those who have experience among youths aged 13-24.
Due to the nature of work, male candidates residing in Dharan are highly encouraged to apply.

ANS addresses these problems of young people by operating a Youth Centre that is safe, loving, and informal where they wish to come regularly to spend their free times by playing games, music, meeting friends, reading books etc. ANS also engages young people in activities that develop their skills that shapes and empowers them for their better career opportunities.
