Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

This role is principally to migrate existing hybrid on-premise / cloud software build process fully into the cloud, while greatly improving the speed and modularity of our pipeline to accommodate a wider range of products and multiple simultaneous builds.

The successful candidate will also act as cover for other members of the DevOps team, looking after web infrastructure and pipelines, application debugging, and other ad hoc requests.

Responsibilities:

Migrate on-premise software build systems to the cloud.
Decouple Python build tools and make them more robust, reliable, and secure.
Manage the build pipeline and environments
Cover for other members of the team on web infrastructure and ad hoc AWS requirements.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 3 years

Other Specification

Programming Experience in any Language.
Knowledge of GitHub (branching, PRs, reviews, Github Actions, etc.)
Working experience with CI/CD tools such as Github Actions, Teamcity, Jenkins, CircleCI Python scripting and automation experience.
Knowledge of orchestration tools such as ECS, Kubernetes.
Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible.
Use of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools such as Terraform or Pulumi for cloud infrastructure management.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative role using cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) for DevOps.
Experience working with agile teams.
An understanding of software build tools such as Cmake, Docker, Apache Ant, Gradle, Packer.
Familiarity with Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.
The ability to use Node package manager (NPM)
Typescript or JavaScript knowledge

Desirable Skills:

Virtualization knowledge
Knowledge of observability tools such as Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog, Dynatrest, Newrelic, Splunk
