Job Description

CE Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Coordinator to join our team. As the primary interface between the engineering, procurement, and construction teams, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless integration of design throughout all stages of construction projects. This position requires an individual with strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent communication and coordination skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Act as the primary interface between the engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless design integration.
Manage the review, approval, and distribution of design documents, drawings, and technical specifications.
Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely submission of design deliverables.
Support the development of project design concepts, ensuring compliance with client requirements, codes, and standards.
Facilitate design workshops and technical discussions to resolve conflicts and optimize designs.
Monitor design progress against the project schedule and flag potential delays or issues.
Oversee the preparation, submission, and approval of design-related submittals, including calculations, drawings, and reports.
Ensure that all designs adhere to project specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
Maintain accurate records of design changes, approvals, and revisions.
Act as the point of contact for design-related queries and coordination among internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare and present regular updates on design progress to the project management team and clients.
Address design-related RFI (Requests for Information) and provide clarifications in a timely manner.
Ensure proper coordination between civil, mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines to avoid design clashes or conflicts.
Manage interfaces between design teams, procurement teams, and construction teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
Identify potential design risks and work with stakeholders to implement mitigation measures.
Coordinate the approval process for design changes and manage their impact on cost, schedule, and quality.
Provide technical support to the construction team, ensuring adherence to design intent during execution.
Participate in site visits to resolve design issues and ensure constructability.
Assist in preparing as-built drawings and final documentation for project handover.
