Deputy Chief of Party, Counter Trafficking in Persons, Nepal
Effective with the release of this position announcement, Winrock International is recruiting applicants for the position of Deputy Chief of Party for the Hamro Samman project, a USAID-funded program to combat trafficking in persons (CTIP) in Nepal. The program seeks to reduce the prevalence of human trafficking in the country through strengthened capacity of communities to identify trafficking victims and take action; improved access of trafficking victims to assistance; increased responsiveness of criminal justice actors to trafficking victims; and effective and coordinated partnerships among stakeholders to combat trafficking. The responsibilities, duties, and qualifications are described in the attached position description.

POSITION SUMMARY
Position Purpose:
The Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) provides management and technical expertise and work with the Chief of Party (COP) in implementing a high-quality, results-oriented counter trafficking-in-persons (TIP) program in Nepal that covers the “four Ps”: prevention, protection, prosecution and partnerships.
Position Overview:
The Deputy Chief of Party (DCoP) is responsible for providing strategic and technical guidance to implement the Hamro Samman Counter-Trafficking program in Nepal that covers ‘four Ps’ prevention, protection, prosecution, and partnerships. DCoP will work with Chief of Party (CoP) in overall project management, supervision, administration and implementation of the program. DCoP will establish and maintain systems for project operations; project integration, progressive milestones, ensure that all agreement deadlines are met and targets are achieved; coordinate and maintain working relationships with the project stakeholders including the Government of Nepal and private industry stakeholders, civil society organizations, subgrantees and/or subcontractors); oversee collaborative initiatives with private sector engagement; and contribute to the preparation and submissions of technical and financial reports.

Qualifications:
Successful candidates will have strong management skills as well as salient experience implementing anti-trafficking programs in the Asia region, preferably in Nepal. Specific experience and specialization in the following is required: counter trafficking in persons, labor rights, private sector partnerships, rule of law, advocacy, grant management, cash transfers, organizational capacity building, and sustainability. Significant USAID project management experience and leadership is highly desired.
Education:
Master’s degree or higher in international development, management, social science, human rights, law, public policy or other related field of study or equivalent education and work experience.
Technical:
Must have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a senior management position in counter trafficking or other relevant human rights programs.
