• Confirms project requirements by studying user requirements; conferring with others on project team.
• Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
• Work with middle-tier developers to integrate back-end database code with business applications.
• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
• Create reports and write programs to test and analyze the database.
• Maintains data dictionary by revising and entering definitions.
• Develop best practices for data loading and extraction into and out of the data warehouse.
• Determines changes in physical database by studying project requirements; identifying database characteristics, such as location, amount of space, and access method.
• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Protects database by developing access system; specifying user level of access.
• Must be proficient in SQL indexing, statistics IO, and other SQL performance monitoring tools.
• Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Must be competent to work independently in most phases of database management.
• Perform administration by using T-SQL
• Implement and manage cloud and on-premises relational databases built on top of Microsoft SQL Server and Azure data services.
• Migrate SQL workloads to Azure Performance monitoring and optimization of modern relational database solutions
