LOCATION: Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD), Kathmandu
CONTRACT TYPE: March 2018

ROLE PURPOSE: 
Save the Children is the leading independent organization for children.  We save children’s lives; we fight for their rights; we help them fulfill their potential. We work together, with our partners from civil societies and government, to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives. We reached approximately two million populations and invested over 29 million US  dollars in 2012 to reach more children than ever before, through programmes in Health, Nutrition, Education, Protection and Child Rights and Governance, Livelihood, HIV and AIDS,  TB and Malaria and Humanitarian crises.

The Data/Admin Assistant will be responsible for day-to-day administration work including keeping daily logistic and financial data. 

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • To assist on logistic programmatic, and financial data recording and reporting.
  • To communicate with the district and other concerned authorities to collect the financial and logistic data and information.
  • To assist on ledger maintain and help seniors on financial and logistic official activities.
  • Entry of all relevant program data from partners and sub-recipients correspondence with partners and sub-recipients.
  • Typing and preparation of periodic reports.
  • Maintenance of office record, supply and equipment. 
  • Maintain good record keeping system of finance and update the record of all file it properly.
  • Provide the support to the finance and program team as and when required.
  • Involve in training, workshop program for logistic support and payments.
  • Assist Finance Coordinator to prepare periodic financial reports.
  • Manage and maintain day-to-day administration of the PMU based at EDCD.
  • To work as per the need of the program.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Intermediate level in any discipline (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Total work experience in any area (In Yrs)
  • 2 years (1 year for GSI group) of relevant experience

Skills

  • Excellent Computer Skills, especially word, Excel, PowerPoint including typing in English and Nepali.
  • Good communication skills
