Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Remote monitoring of Renewable Energy Stations
Data interpretation and analysis using Excel and SQL
Produce high quality daily reports or documentation as appropriate to the role and follow quality procedures for their release.
Review and optimise existing methods or gather raw hydro turbine and other operational data and automating the process of generating KPIs for benchmark systems
Support the quality assurance process for deliverables created by others in the organisation
Responsible for the delivery of assigned tasks and projects within defined timescales and budgets

Collaborating with research and development to support the roll out of new tools and methods.
Propose innovative ways data science can be applied to improve the hydro industry to feed into development of new projects and services
Produce high quality technical reports or documentation as appropriate to the role and follow quality procedures for their release. Furthermore, support the quality assurance process for deliverables created by others in the organisation

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

A Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering or related discipline
2+ years in energy utility, energy consultancy or related field discipline
Strong quantitative, writing, communication and analytical skills
High proficiency in MS office applications, include Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Programming experience in Matlab, VBA and SQL desirable
Able to work within a dynamic environment with good attention to detail
Able to work to tight deadlines and self-manage priorities against multiple tasks
Able to communicate externally in a clear and approachable manner

Shift work

This position will be required to undertake some shift work (early or late)
Some weekend work will be required on a rota system
Overtime will be paid where appropriate
