About the job

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer/Wrangler with solid experience in Azure to join our team. This role involves designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines while ensuring data quality and performance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Azure data services, strong data wrangling skills, and a deep understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and big data technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows in Azure.
Work with structured and unstructured data to ensure quality, integrity, and availability.
Design and implement data models for efficient storage, retrieval, and analytics.
Utilize Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Databricks.
Optimize data processing performance and scalability using best practices.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to support data-driven initiatives.
Implement data governance, security, and compliance standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and performance bottlenecks.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer/Data Wrangler.
Strong experience with Azure data ecosystem (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Data Lake, etc.).
Expertise in SQL, Python, PySpark, or Scala for data transformation.
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and big data processing.
Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and relational/non-relational databases.
Experience with cloud-based data storage and processing solutions.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices is a plus.
