Key Responsibilities: 

A data Capturer at an ART Clinic plays a critical role in the comprehensive care of patients living with HIV/AIDS. She should register patients in the ART center and fill in the patient ID card, enter/transfer data in Pre-ART and ART enrolment registers and computer from registers and treatment cards when required (details are mentioned under record keeping) with one year of experience, Prepare and submit monthly report to supervisor , Prepare and send cohort reports under supervision of the Nodal Officer , Assist in academic activities and undertaking analysis of data for special studies under supervision of the Nodal Officer of the ART center, Collect the weekly PPR and submit to the supervisor, Collect monthly data, quarterly PPR, ME4 data, Maintain the minute of monthly staff meeting, technical working group (TWG) meeting with photographs, Maintain the data backup system and supporting documents of the programs ,Handle the dispensing and clinic in the absence of assigned staff .She also implements infection control protocols to prevent the spread of HIV and other infections, ensuring the safe handling and disposal of medical waste. Additionally,by assisting patients in accessing social services and advocating for their needs, he/she supports patients in navigating the healthcare system and enhances their overall well-being. He/she is the represents AHF Nepal at local and province level to prove the efficacy and effectiveness of AHF Nepal’s project.

Required qualifications and competencies:

  • Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized university or equivalent, preferably from statistics or commerce background or Certificate in General Medicine (Health Assistant) or Nursing (Staff Nurse) from recognized institution.
  • Preferably be trained in monitoring and evaluation (M & E) of the program aimed to build the capacity of the person in recording data, preparing and sending reports and maintaining records properly.
  • More than 2 years of previous experience working in a healthcare setting, particularly in HIV/AIDS care or related fields, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS: A strong understanding of HIV/AIDS, its transmission, treatment, and care is essential. Familiarity with antiretroviral therapy (ART) and its management, as well as knowledge of current guidelines and best practices in HIV/AIDS care.
  • Clinic Operations: Experience in clinic operations, including appointment scheduling, medical record management, and coordination with healthcare providers. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and healthcare administration processes is advantageous.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for collaborating with healthcare providers, patients, and community organizations. The ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team setting is crucial.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural, social, and economic factors influencing HIV/AIDS care is important. Sensitivity to issues related to stigma, discrimination, and health disparities is valuable.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of relevant regulations, ethical guidelines, and confidentiality requirements related to HIV/AIDS care, patient privacy, and data management is necessary.
