Aligned Community Care (ACC)  is providing Support to People living with Disability since last 3 years. We are Australia based Disability Support Company with team of 150+ staff working from Australia and team of 15+ staff working from Overseas mainly from Nepal and Italy. 

 

We are an assisted or independent living care provider. We provide care to participants with highly complex needs and behavioural challenges, using a services model that is:

  • Strength-Based
  • Trauma Informed
  • Evidence Based

Some of the clinical strategies that we use at Aligned to facilitate a therapeutic environment for both staff and the people we support include:

  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Dialectical Behavioural support 

Some of the behaviours of concerns that Aligned support but are not limited to are: Suicide and Self-Harm, Aggression and Violence, Depression & Anxiety. Data Analytics Engineer

Aligned Community Care (ACC) is a Sydney-based disability support provider that has been delivering care and support to individuals living with disabilities for the past five years. With a team of over 150 support staff operating across Sydney Suburbs , and an additional 15+ team members based overseas (primarily in Nepal), ACC is committed to improving the quality of life for clients through compassionate, person-centred care.

Position: Data Analytics Engineer

We are currently hiring a Data Analytics Engineer to join our Data Analytics and Reporting Division, working from our Kathmandu office.

Key Details:

  • Location: On-site, Dhapasi Heights, Kathmandu

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

  • Start Date: Immediate start preferred

  • Reports To: 

    • Direct: Data and Reporting Manager (Kathmandu)

    • Indirect: Sydney-based Managers

  • Employment Type: Ongoing contractual (freelancer)

  • Monthly Salary: NPR 70k (based on experience, with annual salary review)

Main Operations of ACC

  1. ACC provides high-quality, individualized support to people living with disabilities.

  2. A team of 150+ Disability Support Workers deliver services across Sydney Suburbs.

  3. During service delivery, support staff submit daily reports via an online platform. These reports include critical data about each client's day-to-day activities such as eating, sleeping, behavioral observations, participation in activities and daily routine or daily schedule.

Role of the Data Analytics and Reporting Division

The division plays a central role in converting daily client data into actionable insights to support care planning and compliance. It oversees data collection, analysis, reporting.

Key Responsibilities of the Data Analytics Engineer:

1. Data Collection Setup

  • Review client health and psychological reports (written by clinicians) to identify appropriate data collection points.

  • Draft and configure data collection platforms used by Disability Support Workers for daily reporting.

  • Although no prior clinical knowledge is required, the candidate must demonstrate: 

    • Attention to detail

    • Willingness to read and understand health-related documents

  • Full training will be provided for this task.

2. Questionnaire Development

  • Set up data collection forms in an internal online platform based on client-specific health indicators.

  • Training will be provided on using the platform.

3. Data Tracking and Excel-Based Reporting

  • Monitor data submissions and prepare reports in Excel.

  • Expert-level Excel proficiency is required in the following areas:

Required Excel Skills

  • Time Series Analysis
  • Data Cleaning & Transformation using Power Query (Intermediate skill in M language)
  • Interactive Dashboards
  • Automation & Reporting (Intermediate skills in automation, scripting and VBA)
  • Structured & Semi-Structured Data Handling

Role in R&D Project: Dashboard Transformation Initiative

Aligned Community Care is currently undertaking an R&D project to shift from Excel-based reporting to modern, interactive dashboards using Python and web apps. The Data Analytics Engineer will play a vital role in this transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Python-based dashboards.
  • Transform and prepare data using various python libraries.
  • Build user-friendly visualizations that communicate health trends and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with support coordinators to understand data and reporting needs.
  • Implement scheduled data refreshes and ensure data accuracy.
  • Write documentation and user guides for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with NDIS data privacy and security standards.
  • Gather user feedback and iterate dashboard features accordingly.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong Python skills, especially for data processing and visualization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and SharePoint.
  • Experience with libraries like Plotly, Dash, or Bokeh.
  • Basic web development knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with SQL and data visualization principles.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Flask or Django frameworks.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and data integration.
  • Knowledge of version control (Git).
  • Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft 365.
  • Understanding of data privacy principles and responsive design.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant internships or projects are welcome.
  • Knowledge of NDIS or healthcare data is a plus.
