Job Description

The Dairy Technologist will be responsible for overseeing the production, quality control, and development of dairy products. This individual will work closely with the production team to ensure the efficient and hygienic manufacturing of dairy products while ensuring that all processes meet food safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Development & Innovation:

  • Assist in the development of new dairy products and improve existing ones.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to experiment with new ingredients and formulations.
  • Conduct trials and tests to ensure product consistency and quality.
2. Production Process Monitoring:
  • Oversee the dairy production process to ensure the highest standards of quality.
  • Ensure adherence to production timelines and work towards improving operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot any production issues that arise and work to resolve them quickly.

3. Quality Control & Compliance:

  • Implement and maintain quality control measures in dairy production.
  • Perform regular checks and inspections on raw materials, finished products, and equipment.
  • Monitor and control product quality from raw milk intake to final product.

4. Process Optimization:

  • Recommend and implement improvements in the production process for better efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor and analyze data related to product quality, production costs, and overall efficiency.

5. Training & Team Management:

  • Provide training to production and quality control staff on proper dairy production methods and hygiene practices.
  • Work with the production team to ensure best practices in dairy processing.

6. Research & Development:

  • Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and dairy processing innovations.
  • Research new techniques and technologies that can be implemented to improve product quality and production efficiency.

7. Inventory & Raw Material Management:

  • Monitor and manage the supply of raw materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and are available when needed.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality ingredients.
