Looking to grow as a part of our international wine tourism start-up?

What is the job?

WineTourism.com is an online marketplace connecting wine lovers with exciting and novel wine experiences all over the world. A large part of our service is making sure bookings are handled quickly and efficiently when they come into our system. We are now looking for some new coworkers to join our bookings team to help out in our growth. 

What do you need to succeed?

For us a great booking representative will be responsive, responsible, quick to learn, and will be a very good communicator, both with colleagues and of course with our visitors and wineries. 

You will need to have some familiarity working with databases, google sheets and preferably some experience with booking systems, since all our bookings are logged and handled in our booking systems. The other part of the job is following up and confirming bookings with our partner wineries, both on email, telephone and other social media channels as needed. 

You are comfortable working in an international environment with large parts of the team being online, our daily business interactions are to a large extent digital. You also need to have a great sense of customer service, this will be a guiding principle in your work. 

What are your key responsibilities?

  • Ensure that we are providing great customer service in our contact with our business partners
  • Handle booking orders in our booking system
  • Contact our partners for additional information to keep profiles up to date
  • Assist in other booking-related queries that we receive from visitors and wineries
  • Master the backend booking system we use to create, follow and close customer orders
  • Continually improve our customer service function along with the rest of the bookings team

What is your background?

  • Experience in working in sales or customer service 
  • Very good Excel/Google Sheet skills
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • Other languages like French, Italian, German or Spanish are appreciated
