Established in August 2014, Himalaya Airlines is a Nepal - China joint venture, providing international air services. As the name ‘Himalaya’ symbolizes high mountains of Nepal, dedicated in service to uplift the name of the nation, Himalaya Airlines aspires to rise up in its name to international standards. With the aim to excel in safety, on time performance (OTP) and most primarily, in service to its customers, H9 has already established itself in Nepal with high recognition.

Presently H9 operates to five destinations - Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Doha, Dubai, and Kuala Lumpur. The airline proudly owns a young fleet of 3 Airbus A320-214 series of narrow-body aircraft with the configuration of 8 Premium Economy class & 150 Economy class seats. For year 2019, the airline plans to focus on China connectivity by adding up Beijing to its destination network and eventually extending to other cities like Nanchang, Wuhan, Changsha, Nanning etc. Airline also has plans to acquire A319 for flying to high altitude destinations like Lhasa.

H9 received its first international award for “Leading New International Airlines in South Asia” at South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) 2017. This award honors the efforts undertaken towards developing high standard of services and expanding network and has given a tremendous boost to H9 family to excel further and rise higher in the aviation sector.

Himalaya Airlines’ in-flight entertainment system offers passengers with latest blockbuster movies, music, TV shows and documentaries etc. Passengers flying with Himalaya Airlines can also spend their quality time reading through the in-flight magazine – Danfe. Following the genuine Nepalese tradition of “Atithi Devo Bhava” – Guest is God, H9 strives to provide true Nepali Hospitality to its esteemed passengers.

The Country Manager reports to Director - Commercial through General Manager - Commercial and be responsible for all the activities of the airline in respective outstation.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in any relevant field
  • 15 years of work experience in Airline Sales, Marketing, Reservation , Airport handling, etc
  • Preparing different MIS report, Finance, etc.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Excellent MS Office knowledge
  • Excellent Planning and organizing skills
  • Presentation Skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth operation of the airlines service to/from station.
  • Prepare and submit annual traffic and revenue based report on the study of market in the area.
  • Make every effort to boost up the sales of passenger/cargo from the region to achieve the revenue target.
  • Keep close liaisons with all the government and other related authorities as well as travel agents in the area.
  • Keep close contact with all the other departments, divisions, section of Himalaya
  • Airlines Corporate Office and deal with their requirements and send regular feedback as and when required.
  • Make necessary market study report and submit every month according to the English calendar.
  • Send Traffic related statistics and MIS on regular basis.
  • Carry out any other work assigned from time to time.
  • Make all possible endeavors to enhance the image, goodwill and reputation of Himalaya Airlines.
  • Suggest ways and means for effective sales promotion by which more traffic could be generated ex-the station.
